A four-legged creature, wolf, dog, horse or something else?

Another four-legged creature, the scape.org website has a photograph from 1900 which shows how this has deteriorated over the last 125 years or so. In that photograph it looks more like a horse or bull.

Other depictions of animals have been lost, including a swan and a Pictish beast

The left carving seems to be a swan or goose.
