for there actions arhat day X and Y were awarded the GM and L medal for bravery at sea.

d B questioned whether the shooting down of the bomber was not credited to T, due the officials not wanting to credit a merchant vessel with such capability, but perhaps the reason for the very short c itaions for the GMs was to not inform the enemy that some of their bombs were failing to explode on impact.

when K visited the area in 1977, he met and the ex CC of Banffshire who had been the officer who captured him in 1941

at a similar time as the actions of the 2 officers on T, K and his crew abandoned their aircraft, in a dinghy and paddled ashore at MD, were they met by the local police and captured. That night they were taken to Banff na d held prisoner before transport down to London and subsequently to prisoner of war camps.
